Energy Australia – Yallourn 2
During the June storm of 2021, heavy fooding into the Morwell River resulted in cracks in the Morwell River Diversion threatening to inundate the Yallourn Coal Mine. With the Yallourn Power Station providing more than 20 per cent of Victoria’s energy supply, an emergency declaration was made to plan for the risk.
SeaWay Project
Each year, the City of Gold Coast attracts more and more people to its long and sandy shores. By 2050, the population is expected double to 1.2 million people. While this places significant demands on the city’s 1980s pipeline water infrastructure that is near capacity, the city is planning ahead on a large scale.
Energy Australia - Springvale
Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure was engaged by Veolia Water Australia under a design and construct contract, for the construction of a 14.8 kilometre Water Transfer Scheme from Springvale Mine together with a new Water Treatment Facility at Mt Piper Power Station.
POT COD Melbourne Water Western Treatment Plant
The 110 square kilometre Western Treatment Plant is responsible for processing half of Melbourne’s effluent treatment (approximately 40 billion litres) per year.
Longford Gas Conditioning Plant
Esso Australia, a part of the ExxonMobil Australia group of companies, developed a Gas Conditioning Plant at its existing Longford facilities near Sale in South Eastern Victoria.
Energy Australia - Yallourn
After unseasonal heavy rain, the Yallourn River broke its banks and flooded the Yallourn Open Cut mine threatening to jeopardise Melbourne’s power supply.
