Delivering Excellence at Bryn Estyn Water Treatment Plant
The Bryn Estyn Water Treatment Plant is the primary drinking water source for Greater Hobart, supplying approximately 60% of the region’s water across Hobart, Glenorchy, Clarence, Brighton, Derwent Valley, Kingborough, Sorell, and the Southern Midlands.
GEM Industrial was proud to be engaged to deliver the small and large bore HDPE piping package as part of what was, at the time, the largest capital works project in TasWater’s history. This milestone project showcased Gem’s broad capabilities in handling a diverse range of materials — including 316 stainless steel, HDPE, and UPVC — across pipe sizes from 12mm to 900mm.
Our scope covered chemical dosing, compressed air, and water applications throughout the plant, all delivered with precision and reliability. The result? A state-of-the-art facility producing some of the best-tasting water in Australia — and we say that with just a hint of pride.
