Tradewaste Pipeline Renewal Project

Tradewaste Pipeline Renewal Project – Delivered On Time, Despite Winter’s Worst in South Gippsland.

From our beginnings in South Gippsland’s dairy industry, GEM Industrial has grown into a trusted partner for complex pipeline infrastructure projects across Australia.

Recently, we were engaged to inspect a failing VC tradewaste pipeline back where we started. Using advanced camera technology, our team mapped fractures and identified critical weak points — ultimately determining that a full pipeline renewal was required.

Scope of works included:

- Demolition and removal of existing VC inspection points and pipework

Fabrication and installation of larger, maintenance-accessible pits made from polypropylene.

- Relining inaccessible pipe sections with high-grade chemical and heat-resistant liner sourced from Germany.

- Rebuilding and coating a critically damaged pit to extend its service life

Installation of Category D pit lids and final concreting to complete the works

While several crew members contributed throughout the project, a special shout out to hashtag#WayneTrewin and hashtag#HarrisonMurdoch, who worked through some of the coldest and wettest days of winter to ensure this time-critical project was completed in line with the client’s planned maintenance shutdown.

👏 Great work team!
