From the French Alps to Fusion Welding

Braden Wright’s Journey with GEM Industrial
At GEM Industrial, we know that great teams aren’t built overnight — they’re forged through grit, skill, and a good dose of humour. And few people embody that spirit better than Braden Wright.
As a Site Supervisor, Braden has spent the past three years helping shape the backbone of our operations. Whether he’s coordinating crews, refining processes, or mentoring new starters, Braden brings a steady hand and a hands-on approach to every site. His leadership style is grounded, practical, and quietly confident — the kind that earns respect without needing to ask for it.
But there’s more to Braden than high-vis and hydraulics.
When the boots come off, you’ll find him camping with mates, spending time with his young family, or casting a line somewhere remote. His ideal weekend? Outdoors, off-grid, and full of laughter. His favourite travel memory? The French Alps — crisp air, big views, and a sense of freedom. Because for Braden, adventure never stops.
His journey into HDPE welding started with a simple goal: to build on his construction skills and operate machinery in a field that offered real growth. He jumped in, asked questions, and never looked back. Today, he’s not just advancing his own career — he’s helping others do the same.
“Be willing to jump in and give anything a go,” he says. “Ask questions, clarify when needed, and be willing to learn and adapt.”
That mindset has made Braden a go-to mentor for new starters and a trusted leader on complex jobs. He’s the kind of supervisor who leads by example — not just in how he works, but in how he treats people.
One of Braden’s proudest memories at GEM was having his wife and kids join him on a remote job in Remark. It was a moment that captured what GEM stands for: family, flexibility, and the kind of culture where work-life balance isn’t just a buzzword — it’s built into the way we operate.
So what makes GEM special to Braden?
“The camaraderie, the friendships, and always having a laugh. GEM supports its people when it matters most.”
We’re proud to have Braden on the team — not just for his technical expertise, but for the culture he helps create. He’s a reminder that behind every pipeline, every weld, and every milestone, there’s a crew of real people making it happen.
Here’s to many more memories, milestones, and muddy boots.
