Demobilisation Complete – Australia’s Largest HDPE Butt Welder Heads East

A major milestone wrapped up recently as we successfully demobilised the largest HDPE butt welders in Australia following the completion of our large‑diameter seawater diffuser works in Western Australia.

Moving a machine of this scale is no small feat. After months of high‑precision welding on the West Coast, the unit has now made the long haul across the Nullarbor and is officially back on the East Coast, ready for its next challenge.

This effort reflects the coordination, planning, and discipline of the GEM Industrial team and our logistics partners. From mobilisation to demobilisation, the machine performed flawlessly, helping deliver one of the most technically demanding HDPE fusion projects in the country.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the move and in the project itself. Another example of what can be achieved when capability, teamwork, and execution come together.

On to the next one.
