There’s something about seeing the next wave of materials roll through the gate, it shifts the whole rhythm of a project. This week, GEM took delivery of OD1800 SDR26 HDPE pipe along with several short 1800mm flanged sections, and it marks another turning point in the build.
These aren’t just big bits of pipe. They’re the start of the two OD1800 flanged spool sections that will be fused together on our 2‑metre HDPE welder — a machine that’s been earning its keep on this project from day one.
As the new sections land, the crew moves straight into fabrication, bringing planning, procurement, and on‑site execution together in one smooth step. It’s the kind of progress you can feel — steady, deliberate, and building toward the marine installation ahead.
