Grateful to Peter Dyke and Ian Dethloff from the PE Alliance, for recognising our team with the 2025 Municipal Leadership Award for Creative Trenchless Installation.

This project was a full delivery effort — pipeline fusion welding, transportation, pressure testing, and tie‑in connections at both ends — all completed with the precision and accountability our clients expect from GEM.

One of the more challenging aspects of the job was the gorgeous environment for our pipe fusion crews. Beach lovers flock to Surfers Paradise for boating, swimming and surfing, and there’s no shortage of theme parks, shopping and nightlife on the waterfront. The real achievement came from the way our crew planned, executed, and problem‑solved across every stage to deliver a safer, faster, and more resilient outcome for the community.
